EOS/DMLS Overview

Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS)
Based on layer-build technology, the EOS EOSINT M 270 system operates using a fine 20 micron thick metal powder evenly spread over the build area in 20 micron thick layers. A powerful 200w laser fuses or melts together the individual layers which are evenly delivered by the recoating arm. The end result is a 98%-100% dense component with an excellent surface finish, manufactured to 3D CAD data with a repeatable accuracy of +/-50 microns. We are currently running stainless steel, cobalt chrome, and direct metal 20 powders.
